Malaysia is a country located in Southeast Asia. The country is divided into two parts, the West Malaysia is located in the Malay Peninsula, and the East Malaysia is located in the northern part of Borneo, separated by the South China Sea. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is located on the west coast of the peninsula, and the neighboring Putrajaya is the seat of the federal government. The national population exceeds 30 million.

Malaysia is a federal system state consisting of thirteen states and three federal territories. Eleven of these states are located on the peninsula of Malaysia. The northern part of the peninsula borders southern Thailand. The west side is opposite the Sumatra island of Indonesia across the Straits of Malacca. The south and Singapore are bordered by the Johor Strait and the south faces the South China Sea. East Malaysia is based in Kalimantan, Indonesia, while Brunei is sandwiched between two states in East Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

 

Malaysia's geographical location is close to the equator. The climate belongs to the tropical tropical rainforest climate of Asia. It has a variety of natural ecological environment. It is hot, humid and rainy all year round. It is called “four seasons are summer, and rain is autumn”.

 

Malaysia is also a country with a multicultural ethnic group. The Malays are the largest ethnic group, followed by Chinese, Indians and East Malaysian indigenous people. There are more than 30 ethnic groups. The people enjoy religious freedom and multilingualism.
